Explore the Flora and Fauna of the Rivulet Trail at the Bryant Homestead, Cummington, MA Saturday December 20th 10am-12:30pm Join Naturalist guide Aimee Gelinas, Director of the Tamarack Hollow Nature and Cultural Center in celebrating the start of winter and learning about the evergreen plants, trees, and signs of wildlife on the Rivulet Trail at the Bryant Homestead Trustees property. Experience towering trees and a beautiful winding woodland stream. This is an easy to moderate hike (or snowshoe depending on conditions) with frequent stops to identify flora and fauna. This hike is FREE to Cummington and Goshen residents (Suggested donation for all others). This program is supported in part by a grant from the Goshen and Cummington Cultural Councils, local agencies which are supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency" in conjunction with the Tamarack Hollow Nature and Cultural. First Day Waterfall and Boreal Spruce- Fir Forest Snowshoe at the Tamarack Hollow Nature & Cultural Center in Windsor, MA Thursday January 1st  Snowshoe into the New Year in the Boreal forests of Windsor at the Tamarack Hollow Nature and Cultural Center! Join Director and Naturalist Aimee Gelinas M.Ed on a first day snowshoe featuring our recently conserved land and trails and a cascading waterfall along with winter Boreal/Northern forest tree ID, wildlife tracking and forest ecology. Thanks to support from the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation Berkshire Environmental Endowment & Crane Funds. Program fee $20pp + $5 snowshoe rental fee if trails require snowshoes (or bring your own). Program will be a hike if conditions do not require snowshoes. **Programs in collaboration with The Trustees at our neighbor the NOTCHVIEW Reservation in Windsor, MA:


Winter boreal spruce-fir forest ecology, wildlife tracking and tree ID snowshoe treks at NOTCHVIEW Mondays January 19th & February 16th + Saturday March 14th 10am-12pm This round trip, 2-mile trek on the Hume Brook Trail will be led by Tamarack Hollow Nature and Cultural Center Director Aimée Gelinas M.Ed who is a seasoned boreal forest naturalist guide and certified Cybertracker Wildlife guide. Learn about spruce-fir boreal forest ecology and how to identify wildlife tracks, signs of wildlife, and trees along the way. Program is a snowshoe or hike depending on trail conditions. Registration required, email full_circle_o@yahoo.com to register. Fee is $25 per person, which includes snowshoe rentals if needed. Tamarack Hollow N&CC is a non- profit educating about and conserving 88 acres of boreal forest along the northern border of Notchview.
